1. How long have you been volunteering at CTRC?
I have been volunteering at CTRC for about 3 years (2022). I love it.

2. What inspired you to start volunteering at CTRC?
I was inspired to volunteer at CTRC when I visited the center. With my past career in education, I love working with people of all ages and abilities. My passion for horses was brought alive again as I visited the herds. I loved the enthusiasm I witnessed and knew it was where I wanted to volunteer.

3. What is your favorite part of volunteering with us?
My favorite part of volunteering at CTRC is the progress I observe with our participants. The bright smiles are contagious from participants, other volunteers, and staff. My work with our horses is also a favorite, whether it is grooming, horse leading, bringing in from pasture, or simply making sure they know they are loved.

4. What would you say to someone considering volunteering here?
What I would say is… Come and observe, visit this amazing center. You will find it very rewarding for yourself as you become part of a caring community. You will find it is therapeutic for you too. We become friends and you are very welcomed. We need you!

5. What do you like to do outside of your time at CTRC?
Outside of CTRC I spend a lot of my time in various activities with my family and friends. I love my cabin near Cripple Creek. I like to hike and ride my ATVs. I am an avid fisherman and love to hang out at a lake. Lately, I have been riding my e-bike on trails with my special guy Mike.
