How long have you been volunteering for?
Ten months most recently starting this year, and also several years in the early 2000s.

What inspired you to start volunteering at CTRC?
Before I moved to Colorado, I worked with adults with disabilities in residential settings and then as a special education teacher. I made a career change when I moved here but still wanted to help with the special needs population. So I originally came here to spend time with the riders!

What is your favorite part of volunteering with us?
I love helping in the classes, learning about the horses, and being part of a wonderful group of staff and volunteers. CTRC is definitely a team sport.

What would you say to someone considering volunteering here?
Just do it! It’s so rewarding.

Who is your favorite horse?
I love all the horses, but my favorite is sweet Miss Sindy Lou Who.

What do you like to do in your free time outside of CTRC?
I enjoy spending time with my husband, our three sons, and our two goofy dogs.
