How long have you been volunteering for?
I’ve been volunteering at CTRC for 10 years.

What inspired you to start volunteering at CTRC?
I found CTRC online before we moved to Colorado from Tennessee and first visited before our furniture arrived. I’ve had horses all of my life and spent my career as a school psychologist so CTRC was a perfect fit for me.

What is your favorite part of volunteering with us?
Certainly one of my favorite things about volunteering at CTRC is sidewalking for my favorite rider, Danny. He always makes me smile and laugh. I also love barn buddying my favorite horse, Magic. I enjoy cleaning out automatic waterers (except when it’s freezing outside).  It’s extra fun when the horses are in their stalls and I get their assistance and nuzzles.

What would you say to someone considering volunteering here?
The other volunteers and staff are amazing and a joy to work with. I’ve always said that the therapeutic values of CTRC aren’t only for the riders, but the volunteers as well.

Who is your favorite horse?
My barn buddy, Magic.

What do you like to do in your free time outside of CTRC?
When I’m not at the stable, I enjoy time with my husband, 2 dogs, 2 cats, pickleball and IU Hoosier (hoo hoo hoo HOOSIERS) football.
