1. How long have you been volunteering at CTRC?
Since June 2024

2. What inspired you to start volunteering at CTRC?
I heard about CTRC before but actually Alex Rushford encouraged me to consider volunteering last year. I was looking at new volunteering opportunities and lucked out.

3. What is your favorite part of volunteering with us?

Initially I thought the horses would be my favorite part and I must say that interacting with the participant riders as well as the very supportive staff turned out to be the icing on the cake.

4. What would you say to someone considering volunteering here?

This is a well run and wonderful organization that provides a safe environment to work and learn about horses while you contribute to a great cause by helping those in need of equine therapy. Also when you consider volunteering know that it is for 16 weeks and it is important to be able to show up for the classes consistently.

5. What do you like to do outside of your time at CTRC?
Besides liking to be around horses I have been a member of Speak at Ease, Lafayette’s award winning toastmaster club, I read and listen to podcasts and enjoy mentoring others through their careers. I also like to travel occasionally both domestically and overseas.
