Many people with disabilities face profound and overwhelming physical, psychological, and social and emotional challenges without vital therapeutic resources.

According to the Centers for Disease Control, 1 in 4 (28.7%) of adults in the United States have a disability and 1 in 4 adults with disabilities ages 18-44  have unmet healthcare needs due to cost within the past year. That’s where the Colorado Therapeutic Riding Center steps in by providing life-changing equine-assisted therapies for people of all ages, abilities, and means.

At CTRC, we ensure that financial barriers don’t stand in the way of life-changing experiences. Over two-thirds of each lesson cost is covered through fundraising, allowing us to provide affordable access to our services. Our annual Gala plays a critical role in funding these programs, helping us continue to offer therapies that build confidence, foster independence, and provide healing for both the body and mind.

On June 6th, 2026, CTRC will celebrate 46 years of changing lives in the community as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit by hosting the Legends of the West Gala Fundraiser at the popular entertainment venue Nissi’s in Lafayette. This iconic venue will host 175-200 guests from across the Front Range, all coming together to support individuals with disabilities through equine-assisted activities. The event will offer premier and standard seating options, with corporate tables featured in the premier area.

The Gala is not only a celebration of our CTRC legends, our riders and their families, our volunteers and donors, but it is also one of our two largest annual fundraisers. Your sponsorship is crucial in helping us continue our mission. We offer a variety of sponsorship packages, each designed to provide meaningful recognition for your support, and we’re happy to discuss custom options that align with your goals.

Your partnership will help us make a lasting impact. Together, we can change lives—one ride at a time. Join us in celebrating this incredible milestone!

Your support changes our riders’ stories. “I am forever grateful to the CTRC community for this new adventure at a point in my life where I saw little possibility for that. Thank you CTRC for all that you have given back to my life!” – CTRC Rider

Join us on June 6 for a celebration and fundraising night to be part of this impactful cause!
