1. How long have you been volunteering at CTRC?
Since 2005
2. What inspired you to start volunteering at CTRC?
I visited CTRC when I was working on a grad school project about adapting an old ranch for new uses.  My proposal for the project was to redesign the ranch as a therapeutic riding center. While visiting, I was invited to sign up as a volunteer, and have been coming back once a week ever since.
3. What is your favorite part of volunteering with us?
I appreciate learning the different horse personalities over time and the unique ways each can help its rider.  I really enjoy the continuity of the horses that have individually served for years and years as well as the collective history of so many horses and riders that create that magical spirit of CTRC.
4. What would you say to someone considering volunteering here?
Volunteering at CTRC requires you to set your day-to-day problems aside to be present with the changing needs of the horses and riders. It’s a community of diverse backgrounds and abilities where you’ll be inspired by the growth and courage of the riders, constantly learning from the horses and warmly welcomed by staff and fellow volunteers.

5. What do you like to do outside of your time at CTRC?
Hike with my dog, visit with friends and family, and take care of my three alpaca.
